Brian Abelson aka See Other is one of the brightest talents from the deeper and dustier side of house to emerge this last couple of years. Based in New York, he's been honing and refining his style of brooding, purring, chunk sample-based house rollers for some time. The final brew is humble mixture of low-slung Smallville-esque warmth, Fred P level deepness and playful, tinkering wooden melodies that recall some of the finest work from the Drumpoet Community collective.
Across this debut EP is a masterful grasp of the deep house template, with an array of hook-based elements that turn respectable raw bangers into transcendental experiences both at home and in the dance.
Waitin is the modern classic, Fallin is the party hammer, Pushin is the soul & the feeling & the vibe, Peter's Lament is the loving tender cuddle in a West Coast hammock, Change is the moody, sleep-deprived closer.
