Aussie based party starter Subjoi brings sunshine with this super warm EP - marrying emotional house, catchy riffs and vocals - pure 90s vibes to put a spring in yer 2-step. Shifting into more effervescent sounds from his lo-fi beginning, following his releases on Dansu Discs, Lost Palms and 13th Hour, we’re delighted to have Subjoi join the Distant Hawaii family.

Lead track ‘Fairfax’ is the big hitter here - Subjoi takes a classic sound and steps it up a notch with ravey vocals, piano stabs, rollin’ over a killer beat to make you move your feet! Romantic jam ‘Like It Was’ is an emotional house number, one you’d hug your pals to at a festival as the sun comes down. Drownin’, despite the name, is a dreamy, stripped back 2-step number - DJ Tool Tip! Next up, ‘Shelter Me’ is a groovy, club ready treat - slick, sultry house that’s synonymous with the Distant Hawaii imprint. Rounding out the release, ‘When You Love Me’ is a divine slice of rolling house, with elements influenced by far-flung corners of the world
